Get Ready – The 2025/26 Surf Lifesaving Season is Here!
Last season was nothing short of legendary and now it’s time to ask… can we do it again?
We dominated the surf sports scene, claiming the Northern Australian Championships for the third year in a row and smashing our way to a fourth consecutive Senior Branch Championship title. In the pool, we rose to the top as the Champion Pool Rescue Club for our Branch.
Our success didn’t stop there – our athletes made waves on the world stage, bringing home Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, plus more than a dozen Top 10 finishes at the Life Saving World Championships.
The competition is set to be fierce, the stakes are high, and the challenge has been set… Are YOU ready to be part of another history-making year……
Coolangatta Gold 2025 – Who’s Up for the Challenge?
The countdown is on! The Shaw and Partners Coolangatta Gold returns 18–19 October 2025 – bigger, faster, and tougher than ever, with a prize pool worth over $170,000.
Training is already underway for some of our members, and there’s talk of our club fielding several teams. Over the past few years, our club has proudly fielded competitors in this iconic endurance event – and we’re ready to do it again!
This year, the action steps up a notch. Competitors will take on refreshed race courses, starting and finishing on the legendary Coolangatta Beach – with repeated soft-sand transitions, punishing surf, and high-intensity racing.
And with exciting new events like the Coolangatta Gold 26.5, the Coolangatta Sprint, and the Coolangatta Dash, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re chasing a personal best, racing in a team, or just ready to experience one of surf lifesaving’s toughest challenges.
